Andrew Jackson's two terms in office were classified by racist, almost despotic actions. His infamous Trail of Tears forcefully relocated several "civilized" Native American tribes of the American Southeast to Oklahoma. When South Carolina refused to pay the Tariff of 1832, Jackson requested an act allowing him to use military force to force the state to comply.
The space on the bill could be replaced by a myriad of candidates: James Garfield, Franklin Roosevelt, James Monroe to name but a few. Non-presidents are not exempt from being featured: civil rights activists, American writers, or other groups could be shown on a new bill. The person on the bill could change every so often, similarly to the new dollar coins.
