Andrew Jackson, the 7th president of our great nation, is currently featured on the $20 bill. During his presidency he pushed for and instituted the Indian Removal Act, which authorized the president to discuss with Native Americans tribes located in the Southern United States for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands. Roughly 4,000 Native Americans perished in the long journey on the Trail of Tears. This man certainly does not deserve to be represented in such an honorable fashion. Essentially, we have the face of a murderer printed on our money. Please join me in asking the Obama administration to push for the removal of Jackson's portrait on our currency.
