Please, President-elect Trump, reconsider your choice of Ken Blackwell to oversee domestic policy during your transition.
You have vowed to "bind the wounds" and "be president of all Americans." You held aloft a rainbow flag at one of your rallies and during your campaign you promised to be a protector of LGBTQ people if they were under attack. You yourself attack them if you appoint Ken Blackwell, who has compared being gay to being an arsonist or a kleptomaniac, saying it is a "transgression against God's law, God's will." He is currently a senior fellow at the Family Research Council, which has been designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group because of its anti-gay and anti-transgender stance. Please begin your administration with healing, not hate.
