Marriage Equality is the law of the land and yet those who were hired to carry out this law are refusing to because of their religious beliefs. They are clerks and judges who should be performing marriages between two women or two men. They have decided it is their right to make up the law as they go on. I know that many have just stopped performing marriage all together. This is not fair to those heterosexual couples who would like to be married as well. If they are paid by our tax dollars and are agents of the state and federal government, they have no say in which permit or license goes through or does not go through. Please send these people a clear message that their private religious beliefs do not belong in the public sector.
