Remove assault weapons and high capacity magazines from the streets of America.

This is a call to honor sick days by all law enforcement officers and firefighters nationwide.
By signing this petition, We hereby agree to give notice that we will have the "blue flu" for several days during the seven day week beginning on Saturday July 20, 2013 if assault weapons and high capacity magazines are not banned from the streets of America by that date, and a program has been put in place to eventually remove them from civilian hands.
This sickout, since we are unable to legally strike, will therefore leave America unprotected for one week. This date was chosen to be on the one year anniversary of the Colorado Movie Theater Massacre.
We cannot protect citizens and defend ourselves when perpetrators have assault weapons.
