Kinder Surprise eggs are wonderful! They are delicious (made by Ferrero), fun, and enjoyed by all ages. But they are illegal in the United States.
Why? Because the very large plastic container inside the chocolate egg is a choking hazard.
If you aren't familiar with the Kinder Surprise eggs, here is a brief description taken from Wikipedia:
"Each Kinder Surprise egg consists of a chocolate shell, a plastic container, the contents of said container, and an external foil wrap."
Kinder Surprise eggs have harmed an estimated total of 4 people. Hot dogs have killed at least 70 people. Why haven't hot dogs been banned?
