Since missiles and rocket launchers serve a similar purpose as semi-automatic assault rifles, these weapons should not be banned.
The argument against banning assault rifles is that It infringes on the second amendment, which provides the citizens the right to bear arms.
However since the right never clearly defines "arms", banning just assault rifles is discriminatory and all options including nuclear missiles should be considered.
Since semi-automatic weapons are needed for self-defense, missiles are needed for protection against mentally ill patients armed with assault rifles.
