Remove the ban of transgender individuals from openly serving in the military.

Created by C.M. on November 11, 2014

Those in other countries such as Canada, Britain, Spain, etc. who are openly transgender are allowed to serve in the military. However, those who are openly transgender in the United States are not allowed to serve in the military. The American Psychiatric Association revised its manual last year to state that gender nonconformity “is not itself a mental disorder", so why is it that the military keeps its ban on transgender military personnel? There is absolutely no reason to deny those who are able and willing a chance to join the military.

"I wear the same uniform as you."
