Remove the ban on transgender people serving in the military. There is no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to serve

Created by E.W. on April 07, 2014

Currently transgender individuals are prohibited from serving in the United States Armed Forces. Though the repeal of DADT was a step in the right direction as far as LGBT rights go, it does protect, Lesbian, Gay, and Bi-Sexual, however it left out protection and rights of individuals who are transgender. Studies have been conducted and concluded that there is no reason why transgender individuals shouldn't be allowed to serve in America's Armed Forces. At least a dozen nations, including Australia, Canada, England and Israel, allow military service by transgender individuals.
