Remove the bill in Arizona to deny services to gays due to Religious-Beliefs.

Created by G.B. on February 21, 2014

On Thursday, February 20th, 2014, The Arizona Legislature gave a final approval to allow Business Owners to deny services to gays and others due to Religious-Beliefs. The Senate approved of this bill, and many people call this a "state-sanctioned discrimination" or an embarrassment to our State. Governor Brewer has not commented on the pending legislation.

Republicans stressed that the bill is about protecting religious freedom, and not discrimination. This legislation has started a heated debate on the floor of the House, touching on issues such as the religious freedom, constitutional protections and civil rights. The bill is backed by the Center of Arizona Policy, a group that opposes abortion and gay marriage.
