With the recent deaths of unarmed citizens at the hands of overzealous police, it is high time we revisit the blanket immunity police have. When a police officer shoots an unarmed citizen he or she is place on "paid administrative leave". I say that they should be suspended WITHOUT pay until a thorough investigation by superseding authorities and federal authorities are concluded (i.e.: local being investigated by the state). If we were have shot people, we'd wind up in prison while the police get a "vacation".
