Remove both the Penny and Nickel from circulation and have all prices rounded up or down to the nearest dime after tax.

In 2012, the US produced over 6 Billion pennies, each one costing about 2.4 cents to make. That's $144 Million spent on making $60 Million worth of pennies that almost nobody actually uses! State and Local Governments won't even accept pennies in their parking meters! The Government produces the pennies but they won't accept them as payment?! Money is meant to serve as a medium of exchange. However, the value of the penny and nickel are too small to do this effectively. US bases overseas have already eliminated the penny by rounding prices to the nearest five cents. I propose that we take it a step further, and round to the nearest ten. When the half-penny was removed from circulation in 1857, it had the equivalent buying power of today's dime. Think about it.
