Pitbulls, Rottweilers, Bulldogs, even German Shepherds have all been attacked as being "bad breeds". As such "breed restrictions" have been placed on many a friendly dog, and many a friendly dog has been sentenced to death in animal shelters, merely because they were born with a certain head shape, or a certain body shape. This is basically just another form of bigotry based on appearance. The real difference is that the victims are not human, but instead a human's companion animal. Creatures who would gladly dedicate their lives to whomever would take the time to give them a home. I call for the removal of breed based laws nationwide.
