Burger King is in the process of acquiring Tim Horton's (A Canadian company) so that they can re-base their corporate headquarters in Canada. This is a tax-loophole called Tax Inversion, and it enables Burger King to avoid paying their share of taxes to the United States. While it is understandable that a company would want to pay as little in taxes as possible, this action is very anti-American.
Currently, Burger King is found on most U.S. Military Installations throughout the world. This petition requests that they not be able to renew their contracts or enter into any new ones that would place their restrurants on U.S. Military Bases.
If Burger King isn't willing to support the United States government through taxation, they aren't supporting the Troops who are paid by said taxes.
