remove the Canada goose from the protected species list and set up sensible hunting regulation for them.

Created by C.C. on December 15, 2012

The Migratory Bird Act of 1918 designated the Canada goose as a protected species, while the act had the best of intentions I believe it has allowed Canada geese to grow to such great numbers they have now become a nuisance species. Living in Michigan I have experienced first hand the devastation these birds bring. Almost everywhere you go in the Great Lakes region there is a varying degree of goose excrement and without going into too much detail I would like to add that their excrement is not unsubstantial and very hard to ignore. In conclusion I would like to say that these birds are too numerous and are detracting from America's natural beauty. Please remove the Canada goose from the protected species list and work set up sensible hunting laws.
