Created by S.F. on March 25, 2016

Remove Cannabis from the controlled substance schedule 1 list. "Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule I drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence."
Cannabis has proven medical uses and is currently being researched for further medical uses.
In 1995, based on thirty years of scientific research, editors of the British journal Lancet concluded that "the smoking of cannabis, even long term, is not harmful to health."
"Scientific study of the chemicals in marijuana... has led to two FDA-approved medications that contain cannabinoid chemicals in pill form." - National Institute on Drug Abuse
