Remove Cannabis & Hemp as a schedule1 drug regarding US Patent 6630507 on Cannabis and Hemp's non-narcotic properties

Created by J.B. on August 24, 2014

Even though the US government holds a patent on medical marijuana and Hemp has no narcotic value to it. They remain schedule1 drugs. I petition for the removal of these plants from the schedule1 listing and ask Mr. President to use his power to circumvent the DEA refusal to review and remove Cannabis as a schedule1 narcotic. Hemp could ease our environmental impact as part of our agriculture and again has no narcotic value. Also, 20 years of state medical marijuana initiatives warrant enough evidence that cannabis has medicinal properties. Mr. President, The AG or Congress has the power to supersede the director of the DEA who refuses to even review the rescheduling of Cannabis/Hemp. 23 states and D.C. have medical marijuana laws. If that number breaks 25 doesn't majority rule in US.
