It's time that Americans address the removal of Cannabis from the list of Schedule 1 drugs, as contained in the Controlled Substances Act of 1970. Cannabis, which has well-documented medicinal properties, is listed alongside with Heroin and Bath Salts!
As long as Cannabis remains on this list, employers will continue to test for THC in their drug testing programs. This makes about as much sense as testing for residual alcohol usage before work. There is a good deal of America's workforce that is wasted talent because of urinalysis testing for THC. They are forced to accept work for companies who do not test.
More than half of the United States has adopted medical Marijuana. Several states have outright legalized Marijuana. All the more argument that it's time for a change.
