We ask President Obama to exercise his authority as the head of the executive branch to remove cannabis from the list of Schedule I narcotics. Cannabis has proven efficacy in treatment of various illnesses. It should be moved down to status as a Schedule III drug and clinical trials should begin. Also, hemp is an extremely useful plant and should be immediately deregulated.
