Remove Cannabis from the Schedule 1 Drug List and legalize its use, for medicinal and recreational purposes

Created by E.H. on September 04, 2013

Please sign this petition in favour of removing Cannabis from the Schedule 1 Drug list of the Controlled Substances Act, and legalizing it for both medicinal and recreational use.

Under the Controlled Substances Act, Marijuana is considered as dangerous and addictive as heroin. Yet there is little to no evidence to prove this true. There are no known negative side effects from smoking or ingesting the natural psychoactive chemicals in Cannabis. The positive healing effects of the plant, however, cannot be denied. Some Canadian users have even discovered that ingesting hemp oil cured them of their cancer. However, they were denied the ability to make their voices heard.

20 states have already legalized the use of Cannabis. Let's push for 50! Raise your voice for freedom of choice!
