Remove Cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act for medicinal purposes only.

Created by V.M. on October 31, 2011

The argument has been that there are no federal agencies which recognize the medical value of cannabis. Then why do 16 states have medical cannabis laws? The National Cancer Institute recognizes the benefits of cannabis for patients undergoing various treatments regarding cancer. The Veterans Administration has stated that veterans who test positive for THC wil NOT lose their benefits if they live in a medical cannabis state. Smoking is not the only form of "injestion". The THCBs and the cannabinoids found in medical grade cannabis help alleviate the symptoms of many illnesses and diseases. Medical grade cannabis is bred for the higher levels of cannabinoids and THCB rather than providing a mechanism for someone to get "stoned". Educate yourself to the benefits and remove the bias.
