Work with congress to end the cap on individual contributions to Social Security. For tax year 2014 the cap is $118,000. Thus, those making more than this effectively get a 6.2% tax break that the rest of America does not. Those making more than $118,000 can afford to help the social fabric of the US remain solvent into the future. The employer contribution will remain capped at the first $118,000 of salary paid (no need to give people the talking point that it will cost jobs).
