Currently only American tax payers making $118,500 or less pay social security tax on 100% of their income and those tax payers making greater than $118,500 are exempt from paying social security tax on income in excess of this $118,500 threshold. Removing this cap would bring equality to the tax system having all tax payers pay social security tax on 100% of their income and most likely solve the future social security funding problems or at least be a start in resolution of social security funding,
