Andy Borowitz has a blog on The New Yorker's website called The Borowitz Report. Here's a URL:
http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/borowitzreport
It's labeled as "satire." This is incorrect. The definition of satire is:
"the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues."
Instead, Andy Borowitz writes in a humorless way to explain what is actually happening in politics. For example, one of his recent blog posts is called, "REPUBLICANS BLAST OBAMA’S SUPPORT OF THEIR IDEA." That's not funny because that's what Republicans have been doing in real life, non-ironically.
However, Andy Borowitz has been writing news. Perhaps he should be made a news reporter.
