Remove Certain Policies from American School's Dress Codes

Created by D.T. on July 30, 2015

Many schools in America have conservative dress codes. While in the past they may have worked, times are changing. And sometimes, even though we might be against it, we have to accept it. We have to be more tolerant and understanding than other generations. Students have a right to have what they can. It's not illegal to style their hair, expose their tattoos, have facial hair, etc. It's a right.
Dress codes are usually based on stereotypes. Most stereotypical ideas are either racist, sexist or offernsive and mostly wrong. Not every boy with long hair is a delinquent. Not every person with tattoos is a criminal. Not every male with facial hair is a terrorist. Many believe that such things as hair or tattoos hinder progres. People can be successful despite the stereotypes. Let's end this.
