Remove charges for PO Boxes and charge for delivery to residences or business to save money.

Created by J.W. on December 22, 2011

The U.S. Postal Service is a much needed service in this country. Due to the high cost of wages and fleet utilization for mail delivery, propose an annual charge for mail delivery to business and residential addresses, and dismiss or reduce the annual cost of local PO Boxes. It should be easy to see that the cost of placing mail in a local PO Box, or several, centralized box locations would cost less and save money for the USPS than delivery mail to nearly every address in the nation. Though jobs will be lost from delivery routes, other types of jobs can be created by construction of box locations or rental/leasing of buildings to house the boxes. Mail will also likely be more secure.
