Remove the Christian "Girder Cross" from the 9/11 Memorial!

Created by C.N. on May 29, 2014

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum was intended to reflect and memorialize the profound impact that the 9/11 attacks had on all Americans and a call for peace, unity, and understanding. It was authorized by Congress and funded mostly by taxpayer dollars.
However the Girder cross does not represent all Americans or WTC victims. The cross represents Christianity, and not every American is Christian. Not everyone who lost their life at the WTC is Christian. There are Atheists, Hindu's Wiccans, Jews, etc. Where are their memorials? Represent one or none at all.
The cross may be offensive to some and does not belong there.
The American people have a right of Freedom from Religion, allowing this to remain violates that Freedom.
This cross should be removed!
