Christmas is clearly a Christian holiday celebrating the birth of Christ. The first amendment states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...". Thus we ask that the Obama administration on behalf of the American people either remove the special status Christmas has as a national holiday, or recognize other religious/cultural holidays as national holidays. We are a diverse nation of many faiths and backgrounds and the federal government should have an equal treatment policy towards all religious groups.
