Remove Columbus Day as a national holiday.

Created by M.W. on August 21, 2014

Columbus Day marks the beginning of the end for Indigenous people in the country known as the United States of America. The continent was here and there were already people here. Columbus was originally recognized for discovering America. Over time the reason for the celebration of Columbus has changed. What we know now is that his "discovery" led to the genocide of Indigenous and African people. The truth is Columbus invaded America and destroyed it. His voyage created a slave trade that benefited and destroyed the world.
