Recently, through social media, I came across something called common core math. I think it's ridiculous that we're simplifying something so easily understood as primary school-level math, and I do not think it will benefit the coming generation in the slightest. There is no problem with the way addition, subtraction, division and multiplication is executed now, and that's the way it should stay. Previous generations have done just fine with carrying their ones into the tens column and doing long division.
