remove congress from office and instate monthly voting, giving the American people a true voice.

Created by J.Y. on January 05, 2013

The United States Government spends approximately 95 million dollars to pay the members of the House of Representatives and Senate, not including the health benefits and pensions. Additionally, they receive additional compensation for hotel stays, food and transportation.

My proposal is to remove congress from office and institute a monthly voting system. At the beginning of each month, the President of the United States releases an agenda which outlines the issues that will be voted upon that month. At the end of each month, a ballot be cast electronically at each of the polling facilities, allowing each and every United States citizen to have a voice and vote. If there are no volunteers willing to donate their time, I propose a jury duty-like system for operating the polls.
