Lamar S. Smith is the U.S. Representative (Republican) from Texas. Mr Smith has sponsored the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), which was fought off with tremendous effort by the online community.
It is obvious that this type of reform is disliked. But, now, Lamar S. Smith is at it again; He has introduced the Protecting Children From Internet Pornographers Act (PCIP). The name makes it sound helpful and even makes you want to vote for it, but make no mistake, it will be used for other purposes. It has been said to be related to SOPA in many ways that only the name is different.
It is obvious, now, that Mr Smith doesn't work for the people that put him in charge. He works for the media corporations. He is not our representative.
Lamar S. Smith needs removed from his office.
