Mr. President,
I think that the current tax system is to complicated and does no one any good but the ones on top. Please consider the idea of removing all federal income taxes that we have today to be replaced by an equal consumption tax for everyone. This would mean pure and simply you consume more your taxes are more. At the rate we work now too many people stand to gain from tax brackets, loop holes and exemptions for their wealth. A consumption tax would be levied on any good or service to which is offered to the public and a flat percentage taken from that purchase of good or service.
I believe that to be effective for all those who can prove they live under the poverty line could be reimbursed at the end of a fiscal quarter or year. Thanks so much for your time.
