Data caps are about one thing only: increasing profits for the broadband providers, who already have massive control over the market with limited competition.
We are in the digital age, who has cable TV any more? with the caps you are limited to how many movies, TV shows, educational videos, porn what ever the case may be. having these caps, especially for Satellite providers is ridiculous. Providers have admitted the caps are only there for profit, and have no barring on "congestion". Scamming someone is illegal, but yet these companies are allowed to scam all of us? Didn't the government declare the internet a "Utility"??
then treat it like one and put regulations on the providers, the same way you do for Gas, power and water.
Its time for a change!!!
