Software patent law still continues to be an issue discouraging innovation and preventing the effective creation of small business due to the fear of bogus patent litigation.
David Kappos has no interest in reforming the law and has a long history of prospering as a patent lawyer for large corporations known for "Patent Trolling". This is not the type of person the US needs in the patent office to prevent bogus patents from being filed.
