Remove the Descison Making Power of the Electoral College

The Electoral College was great when it was needed to advance the country forward in its early days but now its usefulness has expired. The Electoral College has caused, and continues to cause, problems. It does not represent what the people truly want. A candidate can win without getting a popular vote, its very difficult for third parties to be elected and no matter how small the majority of electoral votes a candidate gets in a state, that candidate gets all their votes. It creates many more problems, that can be solved by the implementation of the popular vote. We call on the government of the United States of America to remove the decision making power of the Electoral College and implement the popular vote as the decision maker for the President and Vice President.
