The distinguished warfare medal was established for drone pilots and cyber warriors to recognize meritorious actions. While it is important and even necessary to recognize these service members achievements, there are several awards already established that will accurately and appropriately commend these men and women for thier actions. To place this award above the bronze star in order of precedence is a travesty. These service men and women take no risk of life during their job activities, and do not directly engage in combat. Stop this mockery of our service members who risk life and limb in combat operations by putting a stop to this before it takes effect. This medal will only serve to demoralize the military as a whole which will overall drastically impact troop readiness.
