By Requiring DoD Policy 8570 it has caused the U.S. Government to spend Millions of dollars on getting their IT professionals Certified. Not only that, the renewal of certifications is a continued cost to the American People.
1. Removal of this certification would save the U.S. Millions in the Defense department for getting Airmen and Soldiers Certified.
2. It would cause for people in management positions within the government to hire based on past experiences because Certifications do not necessarily mean you have the experience required for the position.
---Certifications should help with a resume, they should not be a determining factor in getting a interview for a Govt Job.
