Remove Dr. Roubideaux from her role as Acting Director of the Indian Health Service (IHS)

Created by M.A. on December 02, 2014

The Acting Director of the Indian Health Service, Dr. Yvette Roubideaux, has made a costly and poor decision concerning IHS employees and tax payer money. Dr. Roubideaux set things in motion to move all of the IHS Headquarters employees that have been located in Albuquerque, NM to Rockville, MD in an effort to “reduce the government’s real-estate footprint". The problem is that it does not accomplish its goal and costs taxpayers an additional 5 Million dollars in the first year and subsequent annual increases in operational costs going forward. Existing staff in Albuquerque already share space with the regional staff, moving them does not eliminate any footprint. This move will harm the Indian Health Service, not better it, and shows her incompetence and failure as director.
