Our great country Is at risk, And it is at this risk due to the simple fact that our votes do not matter. Despite living in a "Democracy" My vote towards president doesn't mean a thing since I am a democrat living in a majority republican state. A republicans vote doesn't matter in a strict democrat state. We are told from birth that we are a country of the people, by the people and for the people, But when the majority of Americans votes for a presidential candidate, There is no Guarantee that "the peoples" Vote matters if they live in the wrong state.If we wish to preserve our democracy, and the principles that stand with it, We must allow the peoples vote to matter. If we wish to preserve our country, We must do that with the peoples votes, and not the states.
