We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Remove the Electoral College and implementing a majority based election.

Created by L.R. on November 11, 2016

This year Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by a margin of over 500,000 votes. However because of the Electoral College system, Trump will become the 45th president (assuming the electorates vote with their states). This is not the only reason the Electoral system should be dissolved. Due to the fact that most of the states being majority Republican or Democrat, many of the votes are cemented well before the election and do not matter by the end. The system causes candidates only to campaign in the swing states, ignoring the rest. Also if you are a member of the minority party in a certain state (for example a Republican in California) the your vote for the presidency is effective useless due the winner take all format of the system.
