Remove the electoral college as a means for determining the winner in future Presidential elections in the United States

The electoral college is used as a point system whereas each states congressional representatives equal one vote. Some states only have one while others have many. In this way, an unwanted candidate can win an election based on electoral votes whereas they would have lost due to the popular vote, which is where each individual citizens vote is tallied for a total. If enough electoral votes are accrued, the votes of the citizenry who have yet to cast are not counted. This is unconstitutional and a direct violation of the constitutional rights of the citizen. The electoral college also allows a specific demographic to control an elections outcome in favor of their candidate simply by becoming a resident of a state with many electors.
