The electoral college is an outdated system that has "We, the people" being represented by "those people". Election 2016 has proven that the electoral college disrupts the ideals of most of the nation. The popular vote is the greatest number of votes achieved for any candidate still running. However, this currently does not really influence the outcome of the election. The year, the popular vote was: Hillary Clinton > Donald Trump, while the electoral college got: Hillary Clinton < Donald Trump. This system needs to be fixed. Every individual needs their voice not only heard, but counted in.
