It is time to lift the current US embargo on the nation of Cuba. The reasons for instituting the embargo in the first place have not been effective and the changing dynamics of world politics no longer make an embargo against Cuba relevant.
Consider the following:
1. We do not have a current embargo against any other communist nation.
3. The threat of an attack from Cuba on the United States in modern times is virtually non-existent.
4. Our trade with China has led to them adopting more capitalist policies, debatably as a result of their recognition of its effectiveness economically. Doing the same with Cuba may have similar results, not to mention potentially stimulating or own economy with additional trade.
