Remove the "Employer Tax" for Self Employed people on the first $100k of their income.

Created by M.W. on December 04, 2012

Most people are aware that you pay income tax on a portion of your income. Some may not be aware that your employer also pays a tax on your income, which is 15%. Further, you may not be aware that self employed people must pay BOTH of these taxes.

This means, that a Self employed person making $50k per year pays a 30% tax rate to the federal government.

This tax discourages people from creating new businesses (and thus more jobs). This petition proposes that this tax be removed for the first $100k of any self employed persons income.
