Remove ESPN from basic cable

Created by J.P. on March 11, 2013

ESPN has been described as "a tax on every American household."

ESPN accounts for nearly half of cable bills, and consumers deserve the opportunity to pay significantly less if they do not wish to subscribe to ESPN.

Force ESPN (and perhaps other costly sports networks) to be sold on a separate (premium) tier of programming, and demand that sports fans and sports fans alone pay the true cost of expensive rights deals with sports leagues.
