Remove the FDA's classification of menstrual pads as medical devices.

Created by B.J. on January 16, 2015

The FDA has ruled reusable menstrual pads or commonly called "mama cloth" as "medical devices" and has imposed a fee on the distributors of said materials. This impacts the small business owners who make the materials as well as the women who desire to purchase the product who must also pay for the additional fee. Many women utilize this resource to protect the environment by not filling landfills with disposable menstrual products and this fee is an unnecessary disturbance in the distribution of this product. Women menstruate, this is a fact. Women need a sanitary and affordable way to protect her clothing and her health during this time.
