As we are living in a time where our prison systems have increased population by almost 800% and our nation is in a major narcotics epidemic, our tax dollars are best-served funding programs to help addicts and families affected by substance abuse. With the 2015 budget alone of $2.88 Billion dollars we could fund facilities to help addicts and even fund research into certain substances and botanicals that can be useful means of help to suffering American citizens. We as a people are calling on Congress to defund the DEA and focus our tax dollars in a more useful way.
