Removing Federal income tax and implementing a Federal sales tax (on goods and services) would have several beneficial factors. Employed citizens would not be punished unfairly for the hard work they do. This would eliminate anyone avoiding current income tax payments as well (whether their income is legal or illegal). Consumer confidence and savings would increase. It is a win-win for the U.S. citizens, their government, and the economy.
