Remove the federal penalties for the personal use of marijuana for responsible adults.

Created by D.B. on October 03, 2011

We the people deserve the time to ask why marijuana is still under federal law. Since its prohibition in 1965, it has resulted in many arrests, using our tax dollars to incarcerate people who use it for recreational use. It has been proven that it is safer than any other drug, including alcohol. Saying that, we believe we have the right to say it is time to remove from federal law so states can vote themselves whether or not it should be illegal/legal.
That OR removing ALL penalties from marijuana and regulating it to be close to the laws of alcohol. The war against it has obviously been an utter failure, and we spend more everyday incarcerating people for no reason.
